Yes, you’re hearing it everywhere, and yes, you definitely want to be on
board! Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, blogging – it’s almost impossible to
talk about marketing these days without talking about social media, often the fastest and most direct way to reach customers in the digital age.

In the HBA session, “Social Media: Marketing For the 21st Century,” industry experts bantered about innovative ways to use social media and how to keep the consumer engaged. The panel presented case studies of tactics that really worked, answered questions and
offered tips of the trade.

Another session, “The Changing Face of Beauty Distribution,”presented an inside view on beauty distribution.

Today’s beauty market offers a dizzying array of distribution options, and it can be a challenge figuring out the right choice for your brand. From department stores to drugstores, from indie boutiques to the internet, each channel offers different benefits and drawbacks – and to make it more confusing, all these channels are constantly evolving themselves.
